amalgamate=combine or unite to form one organization or structure
concierge=a caretaker of an apartment complex or a small hotel, typically one living on the premises.

coppice=an area of woodland in which the trees or shrubs are, or formerly were, periodically cut back to ground level to stimulate growth and provide firewood or timber. ("Jean Valjean at once entered the coppice with Cosette, and both disappeared from sight.")

 cravat=neckband, the forerunner of the modern tailored necktie and bow tie, originating from 17th-century Croatia

diatribe=a forceful and bitter verbal attack against someone or something

malign= (adjective) evil in nature or effect; malevolent. (verb) speak about (someone) in a spitefully critical manner

mastodon= a large, extinct, elephant like mammal of the Miocene to Pleistocene epochs, having teeth of a relatively primitive form and number (like a mammoth)

verdigris= a green or greenish-blue poisonous pigment resulting from the action of acetic acid on copper and consisting of one or more basic copper acetates (what makes the Statue of Liberty green)
